Our clients want to do addition and alteration works to an existing inter-terrace house. A new front facade design is created with a "cascading" morphology to keep the scale of the 3 storey building comfortable and respectful of the neighbouring houses. On the ground floor, a new Chill-Out space is added that is filled with full height display shelves, and full height pivot doors to connect the interior space to the front garden. The partitions between the dry kitchen and wet kitchen and back of house are slide-and-hide glass doors that when opened up create a seamless open space. The back of house is upgraded to become a pleasant outdoor seating space, suitable for BBQs. The entire ground floor, through these modifications, become a single flowing, connected layered space from front garden to back garden.
